If you have a site and don’t know what an htaccess file is you should learn about them
This is the file that controls how a browser visiting your site is allowed to behave. It controls password protected pages, default pages, error pages and much more.
I found a site called cooletips.de and they have a free htaccess file generator to help you make a proper file to work correctly. It is a very good free tool.
