It’s about time for me to have some new business cards printed up. I was looking at my old cards and I realized that they could be much better, so I started some research.
When I first started my business I was a bit nervous about passing out my complete contact information so I left some off of my cards. I now think that was a big mistake. Your business card needs to convey that you are easy to contact. People are not going to hire someone that they think is not easily available or that you are someone who can hide from them if there’s a problem.
I also want to make my new card stand out from the crowd and it seems that there are many ways to do that. Some of them are good and some are not so hot. I found an article by Laurie Hayes of the HBB Source that helped me decide which features that I want to use and which ones to ignore.
