SEO Help – Title Tags
The title tag is the tag on your web page that puts the title of the page in the blue bar at the very top of your page.
It usually looks like this in the code <TITLE>This is a Title Tag</TITLE>
Many people believe that this is the most important part of your page as far as search engines go. It’s curious that something that most visitors barely notice can add so much weight to your pages, but I believe this to be true (for now anyway).
Jill Whalen at the Search Engine Guide has written an article called “All About Title Tags” with some valuable information for anyone who is writing web pages. I have already put in effect many of her thoughts, just have a look at the title of this page. I have added the “SEO Title Tag” plug-in that she mentions at the end of the article.
