This is probably my favorite place for a vacation that I have been to. I keep coming back again and again. Cape Hatteras in general is warm and welcoming, but in particular Avon, NC is secluded and wonderful. If you need an amusement park or boardwalk to have a good time this is definitely not the place for you, but if you love peace & quiet, warm, clean water and night sky so dark and clear that you can see the Milky Way this is the perfect vacation spot.
