{"id":419,"date":"2007-08-29T22:21:24","date_gmt":"2007-08-30T03:21:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lillicotch.com\/Blog\/2007\/08\/29\/some-random-thoughts\/"},"modified":"2007-08-29T22:21:24","modified_gmt":"2007-08-30T03:21:24","slug":"some-random-thoughts","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.lillicotch.com\/Blog\/some-random-thoughts\/","title":{"rendered":"Some Random Thoughts"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I don&#8217;t liked <u>underlined words<\/u> unless they are links.<br \/>\nI think it confuses people.<br \/>\nFor emphasis make your words <strong>bigger<\/strong>,<font color=\"#ff0000\">change the color<\/font>, <span style=\"font-family: cursive\">font<\/span><br \/>\nor ALL CAPS or <span style=\"font-family: cursive\"><font color=\"#ff0000\"><strong>ANY COMBINATION<\/strong><\/font><\/span>.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p> People should be able to tell when they have left your site.<br \/>\nAll of your pages should have the same &#8220;look&#8221;.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Email newsletters are getting harder and harder to get through. Skip the fancy scripts and tons of pictures. If you must use pictures make sure there is good alternate text.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Speaking of email, it may be more effective to make your lists smaller and to target more specific groups with specific ads rather than to &#8220;blast&#8221; everything to all of your names. It&#8217;s certainly worth testing.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p> That&#8217;s it for now.
