Having great image effects can really make a site stand out from the rest.<\/p>\n<p>I recently found a site called Design Vitality and they have a post called &#8220;51 Text Effect Tutorials Every Designer Should See&#8221;. It is a great collection of tutorials for Photoshop to make some of the best text effects that I have seen. Everything from fire to water. Even these tutorials are written for Photoshop I have had very few difficulties, so far, using them in GIMP<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.gimp.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">GIMP<\/a> is the GNU Image Manipulation Program that I like to use. It is a freely distributed piece of software for such tasks as photo retouching, image composition and image authoring.
